What is Solar Accelerated Transition Action Programme (Solar ATAP)?
- The Solar ATAP Program is a continuation of the Net Energy Metering (NEM) Program. Launch in January 1, 2026.
- This scheme is applicable to all domestic, commercial, agriculture and industrial sectors as long as they are the customers of TNB (Peninsular Malaysia).
- The PV systems are allowed to be installed at available rooftops or car porch within their own premise.
What are the benefits of Solar ATAP?
- The energy generation by Solar ATAP consumer will be consumed first which implies less energy import from the utility.
- By generating own clean energy, consumers will contribute to the reduction of CO2 emission, hence reducing the carbon foot print and mitigating climate change.
